Our Mission:     To help teens in Sarasota-Bradenton (and beyond) be disciples who make disciples.

 

Our Vision:  By 2012, the Central youth group will be a Spirit-led and empowered ministry with a core group of 50 students.  The culture of the group will be that of discipleship.  Spiritually mature teenagers will see “life as worship and ministry” because their hearts have been “captured by God.”  The authentic faith of these students will impact the youth culture of Sarasota-Bradenton as well as magnetically draw young people into a “real” relationship with God.  The group will be led by teens who have discovered and embraced God’s mission for them and the ministry.  The youth minister and volunteers will function as “coaches and advisors.”  The group will infuse energy, life, and freedom into the church as its spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities are used by God for the good of the body.  Finally, the group will be passionately focused on the “kingdom of God” – pursuing unity with the entire body of Christ as well as unleashing “missional” young people into various parts of the state, nation, and world.
